Tree Removal, Grading, Retaining Wall Install and Sod Install - Hello- My wife and I are looking for an experienced landscaper who can do (or provide) the following services for our backyard: 1) Remove two trees from our backyard. Both are medium-large trees. One is a pine, the other is an oak. The pine will be easier to remove than the oak because its very, very close to the wide driveway access, but both need to be removed. We are under Dekalb County, which is much more lenient about tree removal than city of Atlanta. 2) Grade our backyard and install retaining wall. Our backyard slopes slightly down all the way to the end of the property. Its not a steep dropoff, but it does dropoff 10-12\" over 80\" of property (a gradual decline). We would like a retaining wall installed in the center line of the backyard so we can have TWO level tiers of yard to use. Ideally use stone, but we are on a BUDGET!! so if we MUST, landscape timbers can do too (so long as they are grade #1 timbers treated). May need a few trucks of dirt as well. 3) Sod - final part of project is installing fescue sod in the backyard. Probably will need 10-12 palates installed. A requirement we have for our new landscaper will be that they have to have experience handling sub-divisions and will need to provide references from sub-divisions they have worked with. They should also be able to maintain all 191 units in two or three days in the week they come. Meaning, we don’t want someone that will cut the front of the community one week then the back of the community the next week if possible. Frameless Glass Enclosures for 2 Bathrooms - My wife and I have recently moved into our home and are looking to install two frameless glass enclosures in two bathrooms. This is actually not as complicated a project as other shower enclosures since we will not have any glass doors for either bathroom. The first bathroom (guest bath) will feature a 36" wide square top x 113" high floating glass panel (3/8" tempered glass anchored to the wall or ceiling with polished nickel hardware from CL Laurence). The second bathroom shower will have two separate glass panels - one measuring 28-1/2" wide (square top) x 95" tall (right side) and one 45" wide (square top) x 95" tall. We had received bids from about 5 contractors a few months ago, but weren't ready to move on the project till now. I have 3 of those 5 bids and have some really great pricing from one or two contractors, but wanted to shop around more given the horrible state of the economy and the fact that a few local glass mfgs have started liquidating their tempered glass panel selection (making it cheap for contractors to purchase - hence lower costs for us!)
